If you’re like most Dolphins fans in the fanbase right now, you are barraged with a number of different opinions and perspectives on the daily.
“Tua isn’t a franchise QB!”
“All Tua needed was a coach that believes in him - he’s going to kill it now”
“Tua Tagovailoa was subject to the most unfair treatment of an NFL player in history and Brian Flores should be charged for crimes against humanity”
Dolphins fans have a lifecycle with quarterbacks that follows this model:
1. Realize the current QB isn't the guy 2. Find a new QB in the draft that is good in college and could be the guy 3. Once player is drafted, stan the absolute **** out of this player 4. This QB begins to show some strengths that are exciting, and some weaknesses that could stifle growth 5. The QB has another season without too much progress and the fanbase becomes a little nervous ^ We are here
To remedy this situation, I’ve created a guide for fans that have some questions about Uno, can’t seem to get these disturbing thoughts to exit their mind.
A couple of solutions that I’ve found helpful include the following:
Walk into your bathroom, look in the mirror, and scream ‘CHECK YOUR PULSE IF YOU’RE NOT FIRED UP” at the top of your lungs. I find this method to be the most effective if your boyfriend, girlfriend or roommate is out of the house. It helps to grab the mirror and shake as hard as you can. Throw in a couple punches if you’re feeling extra skeptical of QB1.
Tell yourself that your original assessment of Tua is the correct assessment and do not include any new information that has been displayed over the past two seasons. This method takes a little bit of practice, but you can get the hang of it. Read Tua’s draft profile, look for positive /r/miamidolphins comments from January - April of 2020, and reach out to friends that had Tua as QB1 on their big board.
Stay away from problematic voices in the industry. This includes Colin Cowherd, @BlizzyFins, @TakesWereMade_, Mike Tannenbaum, and @PhinstantReax, and myself. The trolling, commentary, and opinions that these individuals commit may begin to affect you and your commitment to QB1. Fins or Die Corp recommend blocking or muting these accounts.
Seek a help group. Regularly on Dolphins Twitter, there are a number of intelligent and pleasant Twitter Spaces that can assist you in confirming your faith in Tua. Listen to the speakers. Let their thoughts seep into your brain and digest all of their knowledge. For the love of all that is good and holy, do not give any of these people your hard earned money - you will need this for years of therapy if this guide does not work.
The above strategies are ways that have helped me deal with my demonic thoughts that there may be questions about Tua - and I hope that they can help you as well.
Thank you!
